I Wayan Balik was born in Tebesaya, Ubud 1960. He started to learn painting when he was 7 years old (in elementary school).
At the beginning of his lesson he used a paper to paint and practice it daily after his school. When he has the skilled and improved, he starts to play with the colour and explore the canvas. He then decided to continue his painting lesson to Anak Agung Rai ( the founder of Agung Rai Museum of art ) before he employed at Agung Rai Fine Art Gallery for many years.
His truly commitment to the art of painting has been influenced by the inspiring atmosphere of Ubud. Balik’s design take his themes mostly from Balinese daily life and herons bird. He has joined several exhibitions together with the association and the last exhibition was attended on 2018 at Museum Seni Batuan.
